Life in the Slow Lane

As the song goes... Surely make me lose my mind! I have been plugging away school, house work, etsy, bed. Show season starts in a couple weeks and I can hardly wait! I really love the whole "doing" of shows. It takes me one step closer to my goal. Until then...

Self promotion?

O.K. to be totally honest, I started this as a ploy to get sales in my shop. I really want to be a full time artist. REALLY On etsy people were talking about how many sales they have generated just by blogging. So this is me pimping myself, so to speak. The only problem is, is that I was never much of a journal writter as a kid, and I'm not the most computer savy person. But I'm trying. so, I don't even know if anyone has been reading my blog. If you have just post a coment. It doesn't have to be witty or long just hi or something like that. But if you are waiting for your diiner to bake or the t.v. has a comercial on and you have a bit of time to kill, go look at my web store.

I have cool stuff, I promise. here is a sampling of the kinds of things I do.

Entering the World

I'm taking the plunge. Don't know how it will go over, but I'll give it a try. A little background.
I am Marcia. This is my blog. As a woman in her 40's I didn't even know how to log onto a computer until after Y2K. Like the others then, I filled water jugs and waited for the world to end. In the morning when I saw the world was still here I watered my plants with my Y2K water and moved on with life. Since then with the help of Google I have become as computer savy as I think I'm going to get. Thank goodness for my kid to help with the rest!

I work at a school with special needs children. Don't worry I don't help them with computers. My husband and I moved to a rural setting after growing up in the city. That was an experience! Living in the country we have met some of the most wonderful friends though.
I have a small business. I hope to have a larger business...someday. That's all for now.
More soon.
